El Sol Science and Arts Academy in Santa Ana held its inaugural fundraising gala to support the Arts Department in late July.
With less than six months of planning, the school’s PTO members saw their vision come to fruition as they successfully raised more than $12,000 with the help of local businesses and community leaders.
The money raised included a check for $5,000 which was presented by Assemblyman Jose Solorio on behalf of the Barona Band of Mission Indians.
The school is also planning an upcoming Casino Night fundraiser, which will be attended by an international superstar poker champion.
